It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And what better way to celebrate than by spreading love, comfort and cheer to those in need?
We’d like to share a little Squishmallows behind the scenes story with you. As many of you have expressed, you love Squishmallows for multiple reasons: they’re fun, colorful, cute, squishy, soft, etc. But Squishmallows also have another hidden power; they provide comfort to those in need, especially when dealing with stress and anxiety.
A few months ago, a young girl, Zoe, wrote to us here at Squishmallows to express her ideas and love for Squishmallows. She told us how she took her Squishmallow to school and how she gave one to her friend her birthday after finding them at Walgreens. But the icing on the cake was the drawing she sent along for a new Squishmallow, Doug, which she designed herself as she saw a need for more neutral colored Squishmallows as requested by the boys in her class.
We decided to surprise Zoe and make Doug a reality, creating a prototype product which we’re happy to say she loved! But we wanted to do more. We wanted to see what else we could do for Zoe, and decided to visit her school this week to help her and her fellow classmates create comfort packs for other kids in need in Barrington, Illinois.
